Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

1. Who we are

SLP Draft ("we", "us", "the Service") is a software tool operated by SLP Draft(the "Seller"). The Service helps speech-language pathologists organize cases and draft evaluation reports. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and authorized to use the Service for your professional work. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One account per person — do not share logins. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Clinical responsibility

SLP Draft is a drafting tool, not a clinician. Nothing produced by the Service is a clinical opinion, diagnosis, recommendation, or legal eligibility determination. You — the licensed clinician — are solely responsible for the accuracy of every score, every interpretation, and every word in any report you sign or submit, including reports drafted with the help of the Service.

The Service is designed to follow national IDEA evaluation conventions, but it is not certified for compliance with any specific state, district, agency, or insurer requirements. You are responsible for confirming that any output meets your jurisdiction's rules.

4. Data you enter

You retain ownership of all case data, notes, drafts, and templates you put into the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you (including routing relevant text to our AI provider to generate drafts at your request).

You agree to use de-identified information wherever possible (initials, case codes) and not to enter information you are not authorized to process. You are responsible for compliance with FERPA, IDEA, HIPAA where applicable, and any data agreement with your district, employer, or clients.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm anyone, including students.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service.
  • Upload malware, attempt to break our security, probe other users' data, or interfere with the Service.
  • Use the Service to fabricate scores or misrepresent assessment results. The score-fabrication firewall exists for a reason.
  • Use the Service unlawfully or in any way that violates your professional license or ethics code.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, that pose a security or fraud risk, or that fail to pay for the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Seller retains all right, title, and interest in the Service, including the software, design, documentation, and SLP Draft brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your active subscription plan.

7. Billing & subscriptions

New accounts receive 3 free cases. Creating a 4th case requires a paid subscription at the price shown on the pricing page (currently $24 USD per month or $240 USD per year). Subscriptions renew automatically at the same interval until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Account settings; cancellation stops future charges and you keep access through the end of the current billing period.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Inc. ("Stripe"). Card details are entered directly into Stripe's PCI-compliant checkout and are never stored on our servers. Billing, currency conversion, and payment-method handling are governed by Stripe's Services Agreement. Refund decisions are made by us under our Refund Policy and issued back to your original payment method via Stripe.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Continued use after a price change means you accept the new price.

8. AI-generated content

Drafts produced by the Service are generated by large-language models and may contain errors, omissions, or biased language. You are required to review every section before using it in a report. We are not responsible for any outcome caused by un-reviewed AI output that you sign or submit. You are responsible for your prompts, for verifying the accuracy of outputs, and for having the right to enter any input content.

9. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, change features, or take the Service offline temporarily. We will not be liable for downtime, lost work due to your browser, or third-party outages (e.g., your internet, our hosting or AI providers).

10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR PROFESSIONAL CONSEQUENCES FROM REPORTS YOU CHOOSE TO SUBMIT. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, DEATH, OR PERSONAL INJURY WHERE THE LAW PROHIBITS SUCH A LIMIT.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the Seller harmless from any claim arising out of (a) content you enter into the Service, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your reports or clinical decisions based on Service output.

12. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Account settings, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security/fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may export your data beforehand from Account settings.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that exclusive jurisdiction.
